This Alcantara River Walk winds along the river's most beautiful stretches until reaching the fantastic Alcantara Gorges, a real geological jewel and a place of rare naturalistic beauty. Going upstream between waterfalls and rapids, you will live an unforgettable adventure immersed in the most beautiful Alcantara Gorge Trail. This three kilometers long river trekking in the first part will take you in some stretches of the Alcantara river off the beaten path away from the crowd, while in the second part, we will enter the first one hundred meters of the Alcantara Canyon to admire the imposing thirty meters high volcanic walls. There will be time to stop for a swim... if you can withstand the Alcantara river cold Water. Escursion Details

Our river walk in the Alcantara river park begins with a short walk along a dirt path that will lead us on the river banks. After wearing a river dungaree and boots, we will begin our 3 km trek lasting 2 hours. We will overcome some small rapids along the river trail and cross the most beautiful sections of the Alcantara River. Halfway through the trekking, we will stop for a break to consume a bit of fruit. On the second part of our River trekking, We move towards the end of the path that will end within the spectacular Alcantara Gorges. Before going back to our base, there will be time for a swim and a refreshing drink, included in the excursion's price.
