This sunset tour offer the chance to visit the volcano Etna far from the hot temperatures of July and August.
Escursion Details
Our guide will come to pick you up around four p.m.(depending on the time of the year) at your hotel or a meeting point not far from you accommodation. The drive towards Mount Etna will last around one hour. Before visiting a cave and enjoy the trekking to reach a view point of the volcano. We will stop at a Mountain Chalet for a coffee and to change into a pair of trekking boots. The hike is of moderate to low intensity and will last around 90 minutes including the time we will take to sip on the prosecco wine and to enjoy the the rugged beauty of Mount Etna at Sunset. Before driving back to Taormina we will stop for an interesting visit to a lava tube (Cave) to enrich this excursion with history, geology and traditions about Sicily and the volcano Etna. The tour last 5/6 hours.

How Shall I Dress For This Etna Tour?
Between November and May heavy clothing is Paramount. We recommend wearing winter trousers, waterproof shoes, a good sweater, a jacket, gloves, and a hat. Bring always a pair of extra wool socks in the rucksack just in case you will get your shoes wet, you do not want to freeze your feet.
From June until October you can opt for lighter clothing, but carry always a jacket and a pair of trekking boots. Lava rocks are sharp as razors.
